| Apple has greatly overestimated the iPhone 12 Mini's order |
According to Nikkei Asian Review, Apple halted planned production of the iPhone 12 mini in the first half of this year as part of the larger production plan put in place late last year.
Compared to December's plan, the US tech giant has reduced all iPhone orders by nearly 20%. Most of these phones come from small phones, which are the cheapest phones that support the network. Fifth generation.
Late last year, Apple asked suppliers to supply parts for up to 96 million phones, including the full iPhone 12 range for the first six months of 2021. The total also includes older iPhone 11 and iPhone SE models.

The company's current goal is to produce around 75 million mobile phones, slightly more than iPhone shipments in the same period last year.
The company told vendors it plans to produce 230 million iPhones by 2021, up more than 11% from the previous year.
The expected production of the iPhone 12 mini is believed to have decreased by 70% or more in the first half of this year, which accounts for most of the 20% decrease in the total production of the iPhone 12 series.
Some vendors have been asked to temporarily stop producing small parts for the small phone, while others have been reused for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The comment reflects Apple's past corrections to manufacturers of smartphones, computers, servers, cars and more that are struggling to reserve sellers of chips, screens and other limited resources.
"Apple has underestimated the demand for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Mini," said Jeff Boo, chief smartphone analyst at GF Securities.
He added, "Consumers will not immediately feel the difference between the processor and 5G wireless performance, but they can tell the difference in screen size immediately."
And he continued: When the price approaches, many consumers prefer the older iPhone 11 with a bigger screen because their expectations for 5G are not high.
