Starlink doubles the speed to 300 Mbps |
SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service is set to double internet speeds later this year, according to a tweet from Elon Musk.
The company is currently growing at 50 to 150 Mbps, and Musk explicitly mentioned the 300 Mbps goal in his tweet.
300MB / s speed is twice the current ad speed. This is a major advancement of the service as the service aims to provide high speed internet to the poor areas of the world.
The speed of 300 megabits per second, although it is not unprecedented, but it is faster than what many people can come up with now, especially in the second tweet where Musk talked about targeting low-population and medium-sized areas.
In response, Elon also told People that the response time should be increased to around 20ms.
In the speed test screenshots, the response time was between 34 and 44ms, while on the Starlink website, the response time was expected to be between 20 and 40ms for the test.
Latency is a measure of the time it takes for an Internet signal to travel through space and back into space. This low number confirms the company's strategy of placing its satellites in low Earth orbit, thus shortening the distance required for signal propagation.
This strategy has caused astronomers to worry about obstructions in the night sky, and SpaceX is working hard to solve this problem to update the satellite's design.
Anyone who started Starlink for $ 100 should be amazed at its much faster speed and improved response time.
As we all know, Musk's commitment to the future has to be taken into account, especially when it comes to schedules.
This indicates that SpaceX is looking to double the internet speed and possibly track the available copper wires entering your home.
The service now has more than 10,000 customers, and the network or constellation continues to grow. More than 1,200 satellites in low earth orbit can transmit Internet signals to homes equipped with antenna receivers.
