The GX1400 Eclipse Series is an ITU-R M493-13 VHF Class D device with a separate 70-channel receiver that can receive DSC calls even while on a call. Once activated, DSC DISTRESS sends a digital MAYDAY message that includes vessel identification, latitude / longitude and time (with GPS connected) for rapid response. Other calls that can be made include one-time calls, emergencies, security, location, and forward calls.
With the high-resolution dot matrix display, you can easily and conveniently navigate the radio's many functions. There is now a new, brighter backlight that can provide better screen contrast
The operator's new user-friendly menu system has been redesigned and more intuitive than ever. All menu functions and settings can be accessed in a few simple steps. DSC communication and DSC programming has never been easier
If your Eclipse Series Radio fails for any reason (including water damage) during normal use within the first three years of purchase, Standard Horizon will repair or replace it free of charge without causing any damage. If it still cannot be used normally after this while the original buyer owns the radio, Standard Horizon's Loyalty and Fixed Lifetime Price program can be canceled.
