Discover the clarity of CHIRP
The STRIKER 4 fish finder contains a Garmin CHIRP converter (77/200 kHz) which provides higher resolution, higher detail and structure compared to the traditional 77/200 kHz converter.
In addition to sending a frequency, CHIRP sends a continuous scan of the frequency from low to high and then interprets it separately on return. Since the frequency provides a wider range of information, CHIRP sonar technology can create a more fragile arc with a greater target distance.
You can also upgrade to Garmin's high-performance CHIRP technology, which delivers crisp sonar images and, more clearly, can separate and distinguish objects from shallow to deep scenes.
