ACR GlobalFix V4 Cat 2 EPIRB
ACR GlobalFix V4 Cat 2 EPIRB

Multiple online iterations of the GlobalFIX V4 Marine Distress Engine (EPIRB) will greatly improve your chances of staying at sea. Once activated, GlobalFIX V4's powerful integrated GPS system can determine your location. Then your data is sent to Search and Rescue services around the world over a strong 406MHz distress signal. Without GPS data, Cospas-Sarsat orbiting satellites can precisely triangulate your location with only 406MHz signals. The 121.5MHz routing signal directs searchers to your specific location. GlobalFIX V4 is a full feature EPIRB equipped with highly efficient electronic components to give you reliable performance, including a 66-channel internal GPS system to speed up cold starts. A protective keyboard cover prevents false activations. The new user-replaceable battery has a replacement life of 10 years, reducing total cost of ownership and making replacements easier. Most countries require you to register with EPIRB. Registration is extremely important because once your guide is activated, the search and rescue team will know your identity and the provided contact can provide information about your travel plans. Without this information, the search and rescue process might take longer to start. Please note that RLS must be registered in the same country as the MMSI registered on your vessel. For ships registered in the United States, please select the "US Programming" menu. To register outside of the US, please select the Programmers In Other Parts Of The World list and tell us the country / region required for registration after purchase so we can plan the device for you.

  •     In response to the EPIRB Maritime Distress Event, GlobalFIX has conducted several iterations online, which have greatly improved your navigational skills at sea. Once activated, GlobalFIX V4's powerful integrated GPS system can determine your location and broadcast location using a powerful 406MHz distress signal to search and rescue forces around the world.
  •     This EPIRB is pre-programmed to register a US country code and must be registered on ships with US MMSI numbers. Although it can be used anywhere in the world, the primary contact in an emergency situation will be the US Search and Rescue Agency registered with the PLB. Please note that this EPIRB is not suitable for inclusion or use in Australia and New Zealand
  •     If you need to register outside the United States, please purchase a "Programmed Rest of the World" alternative. We are adding a free reprogramming service to this alternative list to ensure that the device can be registered in the country of your choice. Please note that EPIRB must be registered in the same country as the MMSI registered on board.
