Twitter is preparing to restart verification |
Twitter will continue its verification process on Friday January 22nd so more accounts can receive the social network's blue verification flag.
Twitter announced that it will relaunch its self-service application portal to allow the public to submit review requests in 2021.
Depending on the platform, the account must be visible and active to verify the account. There are six types of important Twitter accounts:
- Government.
- Companies, brands, and nonprofits.
- Press organizations and journalists.
- entertainment.
- Sports and electronic sports.
- Activists, organizers, and other influential people.
The platform said it has received suggestions to add more categories, including academics, academics and religious leaders, and plans to add certain categories to those categories later this year.
However, if you fall into one of these categories, you can be classified as an activist, organizer, and other influencer.
An individual may lose the blue verification mark if they change their account name, if their account is invalid or incomplete, if it is not in the original verification status, or if an elected government official leaves office. Works if the account does not otherwise meet the standard Twitter verification.
Twitter said it can remove the blue verification flag and verification status of Twitter accounts at any time without notice under the terms of use.
In addition to that, the service can also remove the blue verification flag from accounts that have violated Twitter's rules severely or repeatedly.
Blue Verification ID removal is evaluated on the basis of repeated individual case violations and is not automatic.
Serious and repeated violations will occur if the account claims to have changed its name or resume, or intentionally mislead others on Twitter.
The platform announced that it will soon relaunch the self-service application portal to allow the public to submit review requests in 2021.
This process includes a requirement that applicants choose categories for cases reviewed and have their identity verified through links and other supporting documents.
Twitter has begun sending emails and in-app notifications to accounts that may lose their verification badge to notify them of changes to make to prevent the blue verification badge from being removed automatically.
Twitter announced that it will not automatically remove verified identifiers from inactive accounts of people who are no longer alive, and the service offers a way to celebrate those accounts in 2021.
