Samsung produces OLED screens for laptops |
Samsung has announced plans to produce the world's first OLED screen specifically for laptops with a refresh rate of 90.
It is assumed that the new screen will replace the current laptop screen and the laptop screen refresh rate will be 60Hz.
The company said: It is expected that many global IT companies will introduce new screen models this year.
The company said in a statement attributed to CEO (Choi Ju-sun) that mass production will start in March.
Although Samsung has not provided detailed information on specifications such as aspect ratio or resolution, the new screen size can reach 14 inches and multiple versions may be available.
Samsung claims that the OLED screen has a faster response time and claims that when viewing fast-moving content, the noise is close to the LCD with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
In a statement released today, the company did not mention any potential laptop partners.
According to reports, OLED screens in laptops are little known, but they are not common at all.
Not many gaming laptops offer this type of screen as an option, but you should forgo the high refresh rate.
Although Samsung itself released the Galaxy Chromebook with OLED last year, the version released this year uses a QLED-branded LCD.
Samsung is the largest seller of OLED screens in the world. Today's announcement hints that OLED laptops may be getting more popular this year.
The company said: OLED screens can meet the diverse needs of consumers for laptops for remote work, online education, video streaming and games.
These screens have made a huge difference in the market for Samsung as Samsung works closely with global manufacturers to take laptop refresh rates to a new level starting this year.
