| Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S21 series |
Samsung officially announced its latest line of flagship phones at the Unpacked event. There are two main models, the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus, at $ 800 and $ 1,000, respectively.
The company also announced a larger version of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which is priced at $ 1,120.
Samsung has further darkened the line between the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note by making the S Pen compatible with the S21 Ultra.
The experience is different, but the user can write and draw with a pen on the phone.
The stylus is sold separately and does not have space in the phone, but Samsung does provide a pocket to carry it.
These devices also have ultra-wideband capabilities that provide multiple functions including the ability to open car doors and augmented reality messages to help locate lost items.
From a visual point of view, the biggest change is the camera module, which was simplified by Contour Cut, and the device also removed expandable memory.
The company also took the charging adapter and headphones out of the box, a move Apple has taken to protect the environment.
In terms of hardware, the triple camera setups on the S21 and S21 Plus are similar in that you get a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens with 30x spatial zoom.
The Ultra model is equipped with a quad rear camera, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 108MP wide angle lens, and a dual lens system with 3 and 10x optical zoom.
This is the first time that Samsung has introduced a dual system for telephoto images, and the "Ultra" model improves the effect of low-light photography by using the "Bright Night Scene" sensor.
The updated image editing software provides the ability to extract still images from 8K recordings, improve image stability and new modes for simultaneous recording from front and rear cameras (such as vlogger).
The screen size is 6.1 ", 6.7" and 6.8 "and each has a refresh rate of 120Hz depending on usage.
These phones also come with the new Eye Comfort Shield, which reduces blue light throughout the day.
The company has equipped all three mobile phones in the US with Snapdragon 888 processors.
The Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus both start with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra starts at 12 GB and 256 GB with 4000, 4800 and 5000 mAh respectively.
