MC220L is a media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-SX / LX / LH fiber optic cables to 1000Base-T copper media and vice versa. The MC220L complies with IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX / LX / LH standards and can be used with multi-mode / single-mode optical cables with SC / LC connectors. When using multi-mode optical fibers, a speed of 850 nm is achieved when sending and receiving data. When using a single-mode fiber, a speed of 1310 nm is achieved when transmitting and receiving data. Other features of this device are that it can be used as a standalone device (no housing required) or with a 19 ”TP-LINK system chassis, an automatic MDI / MDI-X TX header and LED indicator.
