Meshforce M7 Tri-Band WiFi System (Pack of 3) for the Whole Family, Gigabit WiFi Router, High Performance Transparent 7-Part Wireless Cover and Over 75 Devices (Pack of 3)
This is the first time I have used a WiFi network system. In the past, I used multiple WiFi routers, as well as third-party firmware, etc., in bridge mode. This system is easier to set up than any previous solution. I took a video in a single device box and a screenshot of the management app (for Android) to see if this was the system for you. Here are the steps I followed to install the system for a 3,000 square foot home:
1. I used the browser to connect to the current modem / router from the computer, typed the SSIS and the password, and then turned off the wireless network.
2. I connected one end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN port of the first M7 network device and the other end into the free port of the ISP modem router.
3. I downloaded the MyMesh Manager app from Google Play Store on my mobile phone, launched the app and scanned the QR code on the underside of the M7 router.
4. In the app, I went to “Settings”> “WiFi Settings” and changed the SSID and “WiFi Password” to match the old WiFi router of the ISP (You need to disable the WiFi on the ISP router for it to function properly). This step is not required, but it saves me from moving to all devices in the house and connecting them to my new WiFi.
5. I connected another M7 network device to the other end of the house, then I clicked “Settings”> “Add a network point” in the app and then I scanned the QR code at the bottom of the second device.
The support team responded to my questions and comments. Sometimes, the second network device was disconnected from the network. It can be easily recognized by the red icon in the app or by the red LED indicator on the device. In my case, restarting the master router will reconnect the device to the internet. To reduce the risk of recurrence, I used the Management app to schedule the daily restart for 3 AM (although once a week may suffice). Other important features of the app are the ability to manage the network even when you are not currently on the network (very handy when you want your friends or family to manage a network smarter than you) and the ability to control devices with a set of parental control tools (for example, sub devices, devices Sub, etc.) or fix the unavailability of the Internet ("You have to be in bed!") Or turn off the group devices manually ("You are grounded!"). When a group of devices is paused, they can still connect to the WiFi network, but the network traffic expires. There are currently no other parental control tools such as: b. Blocking specific websites or categories of websites. The app can easily check which network drive is connected. I have a device at home (Hisense Roku TV). For some reason, it will often connect to the main router rather than the nearest network device, which creates some buffering. Finally, to solve this problem, I moved the second network device near the TV and connected an Ethernet cable from the network device to the TV. I can't tell if it's a problem with the network system or the TV.
