| Nvidia announces GeForce RTX 3060 at $ 330 |
Nvidia introduced the cheapest desktop GPU and GeForce RTX 3060, which will be available at the end of February.
The official price for this product is $ 330, mainly for gamers who upgrade previous GeForce GTX series products and are looking to get ray tracing effects.
Although the company released the RTX 3060 Ti last month for $ 400, the latest RTX 3060 version will replace the older GTX 1060 Pascal card that many PC gamers still use.
The xx60 series sales are very good, with NVIDIA noting that the GeForce GTX 1060 remains the most popular model in the Steam Platform Equipment Survey.
The company plans to sell millions of GeForce RTX 3060 GPUs, which are relatively inexpensive compared to the current GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3090.
Nvidia's collaborative brands include Asus, Zotac, Gigabyte, MSI, Innovision 3D, Colorful, Palit, PNY, EVGA and Gainward, which sells custom-designed GeForce RTX 3060 cards and heat dissipators.
Display restrictions can also drive prices up, as GeForce RTX 30 Series cards have been difficult to find and sell at high prices since their inception.
Compared to the popular GeForce GTX 1060, Nvidia said: The new GeForce RTX 3060 can deliver twice the image performance and ten times the ray-tracing performance.
Players can play new games with 60fps ray tracing, such as "Cyberpunk 2077".
The new GPU uses the same Amp architecture as Nvidia's remaining RTX 3000 cards and features a next-generation RT and Tensor core for ray tracing and AI acceleration (including DLSS resolution upgrades).
Nvidia's DLSS technology uses neural networks to analyze games and enhance low-resolution images. DLSS supports low-resolution gameplay and uses Nvidia's image reconstruction technology to refresh images and make them look as good as the original 4K resolution.
GeForce RTX 3060 contains 12 GB of GDDR6 memory over a 192-bit bus. While it usually has a smaller memory bandwidth, it is higher than the 10GB GeForce RTX 3080.
GeForce RTX 30 Series beta features include Nvidia Reflex and Nvidia Broadcast for professional gamers and broadcasters.
