HTC announces the HTC Desire 21 Pro |
The Taiwanese company (HTC) has unveiled the Desire 21 Pro 5G, a mid-range device that provides high-speed internet but may not work in Taiwan.
Given that the company has left the field of high-end smartphones, it makes sense to focus on the low-cost, yet competitive, Android market.
For those looking for an affordable smartphone, the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G looks like a strong contender due to its internal components.
The screen size is 6.7 inches IPS-LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, and it supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz and HDR10 content and is the first device from a Taiwanese company with a screen with this refresh rate.
There is a notch on the screen for the 16-megapixel front camera. The notch edge is very thin and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space that can be expanded via microSD.
The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 18W Quick Charge 4.0 + fast charging.
The company offers the phone a 48-megapixel rear camera, in addition to a 48-megapixel primary lens slot for f / 1.8 lenses and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f / 2.2 lens slot. . Usually each depth sensor is 2 MP and a macro sensor.
Other notable devices include a capacitive fingerprint reader on the side for biometric security, but it doesn't appear to include the 3.5mm headphone jack which is the main component of affordable Android devices.
HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G is equipped with Android 10 OS instead of Android 11.
The phone costs $ 430 in Taiwan. It can be ordered in blue and purple, but it won't be available until January 21, 2021.
It is unclear if the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G will be available outside of Taiwan, and the company has not disclosed any information about the global version.
