Amazon is developing a new wearable device compatible with its Alexa voice assistant that can use radar to record and detect signs of sleep apnea.
The device uses millimeter-wave radar that is placed on the bedside table to record the user's sleep and breathing patterns and reveal the subtle details of the actions that sleep apnea can cause.
It should be noted that the idea of using radar to monitor sleep is not new, and another high-tech company has tried to commercialize this technology.
In 2014, Nintendo announced a wearable device that can track sleep using radio waves.
However, less than two years later, Nintendo said: It is not known if the device could become a viable product and it was never released.

The Amazon project appears to be in development under the codename "Brahms," based on German composer Johannes Brahms, who is suspected of having sleep apnea.
