Acer launches Chromebook Spin 514 |
Before CES 2021, Acer announced a new laptop running on the Acer Chromebook Spin 514 Chrome OS.
Notable features of this notebook include a steel case, US military MIL-STD 810H approval, and AMD Ryzen 3000 C series processors.
In addition to Business Edition, Enterprise Edition (Chrome OS Enterprise Edition supports), the computer also offers various formats.
According to Acer, the new Chromebook Spin 514 model is supported by AMD Ryzen 7 3700C and Ryzen 5 3500C processors, as well as AMD Radeon Vega Graphics.
You can purchase up to 16 GB DDR4 RAM and 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD for storage.
The casing is equipped with 14 inch IPS LCD touch screen with FHD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection film. The side bezel is 6.1 mm and the screen ratio is 78%.
Since the product is convertible, it can also be used as a Chrome OS tablet as it can run Android apps which can be installed from Google Play Store.
Buyers can also choose an optional backlit keyboard model.
The metal frame laptop weighs approximately 1.55 kg and is 17.35 mm thick. The company claims the computer can provide up to 10 hours of battery life.
The ports contain two USB Type-C ports that support charging and a DisplayPort, two USB Type-A ports (one of which supports charging when the device is turned off), a microSD player, and some models also have HDMI connectors.
With regard to connectivity, the laptop supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 dual-band, is equipped with two speakers and microphones, and supports Google Assistant and high-resolution web cameras.
The housing can be silver, gray or green. The Chromebook Spin 514 will be available starting in February in the US, starting at $ 479.99.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 Enterprise Edition will also be available in March in the US, starting at $ 749.99.
