Tesla's fully autonomous driving technology can prevent traffic accidents |
The latest research shows that Tesla's Fully Automated Driving Program (FSD) can prevent 90% of traffic accidents.
An analysis of data compiled by the Automotive Research Association (CAR) showed that the number of car accidents would drop from 281,849 to 29,413 annually if all cars in Germany had Tesla's FSD program.
Fully Automated Driving Program (FSD) - Tesla costs $ 10,000 to get from location to location without driver intervention.
The program is still in its infancy, Tesla warns users: In the worst case, the program can get it wrong. Therefore, always hold the bike firmly and pay attention to the road.
The CAR analysis is based on all vehicles traded with a fully automatic driving program (FSD), which has yet to be investigated.
Prof. Ferdinand Dudenhofer, Director of the CAR Institute, told Austria Trends: This study shows the long-term potential of security technologies as supported by the FSD program.
He noted that technological progress in this area is moving so quickly that legislation cannot keep pace with developments and that the legislative process to establish independent and legally secure governance is slow.
The Fully Automated Driving Program (FSD) is currently only available to a small number of Tesla vehicle owners in the United States, and is expected to be promoted in Canada soon.
Another problem has to do with the widespread adoption of the FSD program, which requires training and testing in countries with different layouts and road rules.
Elon Musk said in October that he hopes to release a slew of movies later this year, though that may be limited to North America.
He added: We started very slowly and very cautiously. Because the world is a very complex and messy place.
Then Musk tweeted on his official account on the Twitter platform saying: There are many different traffic lights, rules and languages around the world, not to mention driving on the left side of the road.
