NVIDIA launches GeForce Now game streaming service for iPhone and iPad |
Nvidia announced that its game streaming service (GeForce Now) has also become available to Apple iPhone and iPad smartphone users through the company's Safari web browser.
With the launch of GeForce Now, Apple device users will be able to play games that compete with the level of high-performance gaming platforms, including some games that Apple has banned on the App Store, such as Fortnite from Epic Games (Fortnite), to be released soon.
It should be noted that strict Apple App Store laws prevent iPhone and iPad smartphone users from using game-streaming services from companies such as Google, Microsoft and Nvidia.
Like Amazon, Nvidia violates these laws by allowing users to access GeForce Now through the Safari browser without requiring users to download apps from the App Store.
Geforce Now is a subscription service that starts at $ 4.99 / month and includes popular games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Destiny 2 Beyond Light. These are two advanced games that usually require a dedicated PC for Sony or Microsoft game consoles.
Nvidia said: The (GeForce Now) service requires the use of a controller and does not support the use of a keyboard or mouse.
It should be noted that Microsoft offers a similar service xCloud that can be used by smartphones with Google's Android operating system, but it is not yet available to iPhone users. Microsoft can follow examples from Nvidia and Amazon and create a web version for iPhone users to access the service.
