Instagram develops frequently asked questions for businesses |
Instagram is developing FAQs about the new product that allows users to initiate a conversation with a business or creator account by clicking on a hot question in the chat.
People who do: You can create up to four questions that can be viewed at the start of a conversation with other users.
This feature can be useful to companies that frequently respond to customer inquiries about their product or service, or to content creators who receive many inquiries from interested contributors or fans.
The launch of this product highlights the degree of overlap between the Instagram messaging platform and the Facebook Messenger messaging platform after the recent launch of the new messaging experience on Instagram.
Facebook announced in September that Instagram users can upgrade to a new mailbox that provides many features inspired by Facebook Messenger, such as: b. Change chat color, interact with emoji and delete message.
The upgrade also introduces cross-app communication between the Instagram and Facebook Messenger platforms.
With these changes, Facebook appears to be paving the way for an Instagram messaging experience similar to Facebook Messenger.
Facebook Messenger has similar general questions options for Facebook page owners in the Automatic Replies section in Facebook Messenger settings.
The page owner or admin can set up a series of general questions and their answers to these questions. Just like the new features on Instagram, these questions can be viewed at the beginning of a conversation.
According to the app code, the Instagram FAQ option was discovered earlier this year during the development process, but it appears that it only applies to corporate accounts.
However, new reports and screenshots from Instagram users authorized to use the feature indicate that the creator's and company account can use the frequently asked questions.
With the platform refusing to provide detailed product information, common questions may be at an early testing stage or Instagram has started promoting them widely without advertising.
