Honor Band 6 just got closer to a smartwatch |
Honor launched the latest member of the fitness tracker product line (Honor Band 6). Compared to last year's model, this smart bracelet is a huge improvement.
The new Honor Band 6 is equipped with a 1.47 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels and 2.5-D curved glass.
These specifications put the new bracelet in the smartwatch world, taking into account only the screen size.
The new smart bracelet is wider and thicker than the previous model, but it appears a few millimeters shorter and has similar functions to what it was last year.
The smart bracelet design is very simple, there are no physical buttons and it interacts with the user interface through a touch screen.
Honor Band 6 not only manages women's health, but also records heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and sleep (Huawei TruSleep).
It also offers activity tracking for up to 10 different sports with automatic activity detection and water resistance to 50 meters.
After pairing the smart bracelet with your smartphone via Bluetooth, you can view notifications on your wrist and control music playback.
You can also choose from a variety of watch faces using the associated smartphone app.
Charging is carried out via a special magnetic holder. Although it can be used in power saving mode, the battery life is up to 180mAh (up to 14 days).
A 5-minute charge can guarantee up to 2 days of battery life, while the smart bracelet (without the bracelet) measures 43 x 25.4 x 11.45mm and weighs 18g.
Honor Band 6 costs 249 Yuan ($ 37) while the NFC version costs 289 Yuan ($ 43).
The first order started today in China and the smart bracelet will be officially shipped to users next week (Nov.11). Honor has not announced any plans to launch a fitness tracker worldwide.
