Beats release luminous-in-the-dark Powerbeats headphones |
Today, the Beats brand announced a collaboration with Tokyo-based fashion brand Ambush to create an incandescent version of its Powerbeats wireless headphones.
From time to time, audio companies work with other brands to bring limited-edition headphones and speakers to the market. Master & Dynamic may be the biggest producer in the industry, but others are.
Ambush co-founder and creative director Yoon Ahn said that working with beats took inspiration from the vibrant nightlife in Tokyo.
She said, "I live in the middle of Shibuya. It always inspires the glamor of my city night. I think it's really cool to design a product that captures the same city energy when you listen to music late at night."
This helmet is priced at $ 199.95, which is $ 50 more than the regular model launched in the spring.
The headphones represent the collaboration between Beats and design company Ambush. The Ambush logo is printed next to the legendary Beats logo.
This Powerbeats model emits a bright green in the dark, goes subtle in daylight, and there's also a ripstop-branded case to mount the speaker.
The Powerbeats glow headphones are useful for dark road runners. It provides up to 15 hours of battery life and is IPX4 sweatproof.
It also includes the Apple H1 chip for seamless pairing, hands-free voice commands, and sound quality comparable to Powerbeats Pro wireless earphones.
Powerbeats earbuds are also inexpensive, especially if something needs to be used during a workout, and there are physical buttons, which means they are more reliable than touchscreens than the increasingly common ones.
Starting today, the incandescent Powerbeats can be purchased at Apple's website.
