Amazon makes it easy for drivers to find jobs |
Amazon launched a rewards program for drivers who sign up for Amazon Flex delivery (Amazon Flex) to give them an edge in selecting competitive teams through the app.
The company added a section to the Flex website and app via the Apple App Store, and announced Amazon Flex Rewards.
The rewards program offers drivers several benefits, including the ability to use Amazon Flex debit cards and book custom delivery times.
The website states that Amazon Flex Rewards is a proprietary program of Amazon Flex Delivery Partners.
Amazon Flex Rewards enables drivers to make money with Amazon Flex debit cards, take advantage of scheduling preferences, and receive thousands of discounts and tools such as insurance and taxes.
An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that the company is in the early stages of launching Amazon Flex Rewards for all US drivers.
Amazon Flex works just like Uber. At Uber, contract sellers choose to operate based on variable order to deliver Amazon packaging or Whole Foods orders to customers.
Since its launch in 2015, the service has grown to more than 50 cities in the United States.
Once drivers participate in the rewards program, they will earn points with every delivery.
Drivers get more points based on their overall standing in the app, which takes into account criteria such as delivery time and completion rate.
The Preferred Plan feature can take the stress out a little and encourage Flex drivers to spend more time with Amazon rather than competing with platforms like Uber, Instacart, or Lyft.
Drivers use the Flex app to plan shifts that usually take 3 to 6 hours.
The "Priority Planning" function gives the driver a greater advantage when selecting a gear.
Once the driver collects 650 points, he can book a custom schedule based on preferred delivery location, day of the week and time of day.
By offering bonuses like these, Amazon can encourage more drivers to use Flex services.
Contract drivers usually use multiple apps daily as a strategy to increase their profits.
