A well-known analyst announced the sales performance of new Apple devices |
Well-known Apple News analyst (Ming-Chi Kuo) released the latest report on the company's performance ahead of the holiday season and shared his forecast for the upcoming year.
According to the analyst, sales of iPhone 12 models are now deviating from original expectations. The demand for iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max was higher than expected, while the demand for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini was below expectations.
Overall, total iPhone 12 sales are growing and its momentum will likely pick up sharply over the holiday season and into next year 2021.
Kuo said that demand for the latest iPad Air is better than expected and that he expects iPad sales to continue to rise over the next year as there are reports that Apple has an intention to make iPads with miniLED screens and support networks equipped. It plans to launch cheaper 5G and 5G models in the second half of 2021.
According to analysts, Watch Series 6 and Watch SE analysts are also selling well. The report attributes the watch's strong sales to "innovative health management features and improved design". The analyst also mentioned that sales of Apple's M1 chip MacBook computers were also better than expected. He said, "We hope that the best new MacBook models use Apple Silicon and that the new design is expected to be available in the second half of 2021."
Unlike other products, Kuo indicated that sales of AirPods wireless headphones were lower than expected and that AirPods sales are expected to stabilize or decline 5% to 10% in the first half of next year.
According to the report, the wireless speaker supply chain is relatively narrow due to the current priority of iPhone 12.
