This error allows anyone to access and download Fleet User Stories without notifying them that Fleet User Stories have been read.
This means that the bug can be abused to archive a Twitter story after its expiration date.
This can be done with an application designed to interact with the Twitter backend through the platform developer API.
Each story has its own fleet of live URL that downloads as an image or video when opened in a browser.
Even after 24 hours have passed, the server continues to provide links to stories that have disappeared from the Twitter app.
A Twitter spokesperson said: Fix is underway and we know a technical solution can be used to fix a bug as some fleet informational urls could come in 24 hours later. We are working hard to fix the issue and will be released soon.
