Use the Xbox Wireless Adapter to connect the Xbox Wireless Controller to Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10. (You may need to update the driver.)
1. Turn on the computer and log in. Connect the Windows Xbox Wireless Adapter to your computer and insert the adapter into the USB slot.
2. Press the pairing button on the Xbox Wireless Adapter (it will start flashing). The indicator light starts flashing. If it doesn't blink, then you need to install the driver for your computer.
3. Press the pair button on top of the console (the Xbox button will start flashing quickly).
4. Wait for pairing. After connecting, the LED on the switch and the controller lights up stably.
If the lamp does not flash, press the pairing button on the Xbox Wireless Adapter. This means you need to install the driver software for your computer.
Update the driver for the wireless adapter
Connect the wireless adapter. Go to Windows Device Manager (Windows Key + Pause / Interrupt> Device Manager).
If you see "XBOX ACC" (there may be a yellow mark next to it), there is a problem with the driver.
How to fix Xbox Wireless XBOX ACC Adapter Driver Error
