| Microsoft continues to allow some of its employees to work from home |
A Microsoft spokesperson told CNBC on Friday that Microsoft informed employees this week that Microsoft may return to the office safely, but that Microsoft can work from home with more flexibility.
With the new guidelines, all Microsoft employees can work remotely in less than 50% of the time. Employees can also ask their managers to agree to work remotely full time or even relocate to a new location with their salaries adjusted based on geographic location.
The American software giant has finally told American employees that remote work will not be possible until January 2021 at the earliest.
A Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement to CNBC: “We have shared guidance internally this week and provided plans for our employees so that we can plan for our safe return to work.
