Microsoft allows Xbox One games to be played on iOS devices |
Microsoft's Xbox Apps Update for iOS and iPadOS is now available so Xbox One owners can stream games to their devices.
The new Xbox app is available on the App Store and includes a remote feature that Xbox One owners can use to play their games on their iPhone or iPad.
The remote play feature - previously known as (Streaming Console) - differs from Microsoft's (xCloud) service, which streams games directly from the server instead of on the Xbox One platform.
This Xbox Remote Play feature applies to Xbox only, not (xCloud), and is similar to Sony Remote Play (PS4), which can also be used on Android and iOS.
This app supports Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S games, but old original Xbox 360 and Xbox games cannot be remotely streamed to Android or iOS devices.
The app also supports access to the Xbox platform via wireless (LTE) or (5G) connections.
You can use the Xbox app to control Xbox at home and even control the console remotely when you are away.
Xbox starts up and you don't see any Xbox sounds or lights in the front. After disconnecting the platform, the standby mode will resume after a short period of inactivity.
The new Xbox app was recently released for Android. This updated version of iOS and iPadOS has the same new design and features.
It also integrates with (Xbox Series X) and (Xbox Series S) platforms and allows players to download or share game clips and screenshots, as well as save and delete games via the application management platform.
This new Xbox app is also much faster than the previous version (iOS) and its design is generally compatible with the new dashboard and user interface via Xbox.
Due to the recently licensed services from Apple like (Stadia) and (xCloud), the updated Xbox application status does not change the (xCloud) status, but the principle is that the game should be broadcast separately as a separate application using broadcast technology.
