| Sony announces About camera A7C At $ 1799 |
Sony Corporation of Japan has announced the launch of the A7C, the smallest new camera in the Alpha full-frame lineup to date.
The A7C is more similar to the Sony APS-C than the A7, like the A6400, in that it uses a smaller body with an electronic viewfinder in the upper left corner of the back of the camera, which is a rangefinder style.
The camera measures 124.0 x 71.1 x 59.7mm, weighs 509 grams, and has a full 24.2 pixel image sensor with in-body image stabilization and a standard range (ISO) of 51200.
It can shoot up to 10 frames per second under auto exposure and record 4K video at 30 fps or 1080p video at 120 fps, both of which can reach 100Mbps.
The case contains a USB-C port, wireless support, and a 3-inch LCD with 921,000 dots and variable angle.
Sony has developed a new line of lenses designed to be compatible with the A7C, which the company calls the smallest and lightest full-frame camera system in the world.
The price of the body of this new camera is only 1799 dollars, which is 200 dollars less than the 2018 (A7 III) and is the closest camera from a technical point of view.
But the A7 III has been around for a couple of years and is often used at a discount. For those who prefer lens size or general ergonomics, this may be a better option.
In terms of competition, the (A7C) competes directly with Panasonic's new ($ 1999) Lumix S5 (another built-in 24-megapixel camera).
However, there are more options, as the Nikon Z5 is around $ 1400 and the foldable zoom lens is around $ 1699.95 on the Sony camera body.
With Sony outperforming any other product in the market a few years ago, Sony offers the best range of full-frame mirrorless lenses.
Sony A7C is designed for video bloggers and YouTubers, so it has video centric features.
Auto focus power. The camera uses Sony's ultra-fast phase-detection Hybrid AF with 693 phase-detection autofocus in full screen mode.
You also get the latest in AI features from Sony, including image and video tracking of people and animals, object tracking, predictive control, and adjustable AF travel speed in video mode.
This camera is expected to sell for $ 1,799 or $ 2,099 in late October, along with the new speakers that will sell separately for $ 500 in early 2021.
