British environmental broadcaster Atenbara sets record for Instagram |
Briton (David Attenbara) is entered into the Guinness Book of Records for being the fastest to reach 1 million subscribers to Instagram photo and video sharing service.
British documentary filmmaker, TV presenter, writer, and environmental activist took just 4 hours 44 minutes to create his own Instagram account and reach 1 million subscribers.
Since the account was created last week, the number of subscribers has tripled, reaching 4.7 million subscribers so far. The previous record was for an American actress (Jennifer Aniston) who garnered a million fans in 5 hours and 16 minutes in 2019.
It is noteworthy that other famous personalities such as the English footballer (David Beckham), Pope Francis, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have won this title in the past, but none of them are a British scientist who has received professional attention for nearly seventy years.
"I'm taking this step to finding new ways to connect with myself," said Atinbara, 94, in her first video on Instagram. Because the known world is a problem. "The continent is burning, glaciers are melting, coral reefs are dying, fish are disappearing from our oceans and the list goes on," he added.
Atenbara plans to use the platform to solve these environmental crises and share potential solutions. “Connecting with young viewers gave him a lot of hope,” he told the BBC yesterday. He also said, "I am proud that you hear what old people like me are saying."
The British environmental documentary "Life on Our Planet" is premiering on Netflix on October 4th. In the documentary, Atembala recalls the natural wonders he recorded throughout his career, the damages he saw with his own eyes, and the remedial actions he could take.
"Mankind has conquered the world," said Adenbara in the trailer for the documentary. This film is my testimony and my vision for the future. ''
The movie, titled "Planet Earth," premiered in 2006 as Atenbara. It still holds the Guinness Book of Records and is the most popular TV documentary program. The British star holds two more Guinness records, the longest career as a TV presenter and the longest career in the natural world in television.
