| As the new model approaches Nintendo has increased production of the Switch |
According to a recent Bloomberg report, there are reports that Nintendo is ramping up production for the Switch game platform once again: the company hopes to increase production target by 20%.
Nintendo asked its partners to manufacture up to 30 million platforms in the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2021.
Previously, the company increased demand to $ 25 million in August to meet the growing demand for Switch caused by the success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and COVID-19. However, the target is now higher.
While Nintendo's official forecast for shipments of 19 million remains conservative, Bloomberg reports that its annual production target has now been raised to 22 million, 25 million and 30 million.
A key remains difficult to find in some markets, including the company's home country of Japan, where the coronavirus epidemic has seen a surge in demand and a decline in inventories.
While people stay home, some Nintendo games like Ring Fit Adventure and Animal Crossing: New Horizons sell out in droves.
Nintendo said its product line basically rebounded in early August.
Rumors say Nintendo is likely to maintain the momentum in Switch sales.
A Bloomberg report said: Nintendo has asked many third-party game developers to prepare their games for 4K upgrades.
Since its launch in 2017, Nintendo has sold more than 55 million Switch platforms. The increase in production of the Switch gaming platform shows that the Japanese company is now preparing for strong growth in 2020.
Transformer sales may continue to grow by the end of the year, according to industry tracker Katsuhiko Hayashi.
Bloomberg previously reported that Nintendo plans to release an improved version of the Switch in 2021, although there is no official news yet.
At the end of the year, the Nintendo lineup started taking shape with the games (Pikmin 3 Deluxe), (Super Mario 3D All-Star) and (Hyrule Warriors: Calageity). The company's goal is to bring important products to market by the end of the year.
