MediaTek has announced its new Dimension 720 processor, which provides 5G network support for low and medium phones. It is also the first company in the Dimensity 700 series.
The company said in a statement: This new processor is made with 7 nm technology. In addition to the Mali-G57 MC3 graphics processor, it has eight cores and two Cortex-A76 cores at 2GHz. Cortex-A55 has six hearts with the same frequency.
Dimensity 720 processor supports phone screens with a maximum resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, also supports LPDD4x-RAM with a maximum size of 12 GB and internal memory of type UFS 2.2.
In addition to the maximum resolution for 4K video recording, the processor also supports two cameras with a maximum resolution of 20 megapixels + 16 megapixels or 64 megapixels camera and supports video functions: HDR-ISP, Engine NR and multiple frame depth.
In terms of the ability to support 5G networks, the new processor supports sub-standard 6 GHz. To fix the relatively high power consumption of 5G networks, MediaTek uses the so-called 5G UltraSave technology to save electricity.
The processor also supports Bluetooth 5.1 technology and advanced machine learning APU technology. this is; Cell phones equipped with the new Dimensity 720 processor will be launched in the coming months, with an average price of phones equipped with the Dimensity 820 processor being $ 250. The dimensions of 720 mobile phones are expected to be released at a lower price.
