| Qualcomm provides the necessary improvements to Wear OS watches |
Qualcomm announced the launch of two new Google Wear OS (Wear OS) processors, namely (Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus) and (Snapdragon Wear 4100), which represent Qualcomm's smart watch platform for the first update in 2018.
According to Qualcomm, the speed of the new chipset will be greatly improved, the speed of the new processor will be greatly improved, and the performance of the GPU, memory, camera and battery will be greatly improved.
After the major organizational review (Snapdragon Wear) by (Snapdragon Wear 3100) - a small processor update (Snapdragon 2100) in 2016 - Google OS (Wear OS) was urgently required for this improvement.
Since Snapdragon Wear 2100 and Snapdragon Wear 3100 have the same main processor, the advent of Snapdragon Wear 4100 is the first significant increase in speed in Google Wear OS in about four years.
The biggest change is the processor, which switched from a 28nm manufacturing process to a 12nm manufacturing process, with four cores and a 1.7GHz A53 processor that replaced the A7 core at 1.1GHz.
Qualcomm said: These cores are expected to deliver an 85% improvement in performance, and that the new Adreno A504 GPU is two and a half times faster than Snapdragon Wear 3100 GPU and has faster memory.
Qualcomm style in this platform series differs slightly due to the presence of Snapdragon Wear 4100 and Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus as additional processors are still available (QCC1110).
According to the company, the new mobile platform provides up to 85% faster performance and 25% less power consumption compared to Snapdragon Wear 3100 thanks to 12nm manufacturing process and other technological improvements.
Qualcomm also announced that (imoo Z6 Ultra) and (Mobvoi Tic Watch Pro) will be the first two smart watches to be built on the platform (Snapdragon Wear 4100).
These improvements have largely benefited from the failed OS OS ecosystem, which is almost entirely dependent on the Qualcomm platform.
Fashion brands like Fossil dominate the Wear OS devices, but the entire Apple smart system is dominated by Samsung and Apple.
