Microsoft supports custom images as a background for Teams meetings |
Microsoft announced last Friday that it added new functionality to its video conferencing service teams that allowed users to add images of their choice to use as a background to make a call.
The tech giant said in the post that personal photos and other background effects only apply to scheduled business meetings.
TEMS provides users with background blur effects and ready-to-use picture libraries from which users can hide the background of their call source.
With this feature, Microsoft wants to compete with the zoom service, which experienced massive growth during the COVID 19 epidemic and forced people to work and study at home a few months ago.
Microsoft warns that using background images and blur effects does not prevent others from seeing sensitive information in a video call.
In addition to adjusting images, Microsoft also offers users the free version of new TIMES features, such as: for example, you can schedule meetings and send invitations instead of using the Meet Now option. Free version users can also add tags directly to the call.
