Microsoft is working hard to support mouse and trackpad in Office for iPad |
Microsoft plans to update the Office app on the iPad computer to support mouse and trackpad features supported by the latest version of iPad from Apple.
The American software company quickly updated the suite of Office applications on iOS with the latest Apple software features. The company is currently working extensively on updating applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Apple announced support for the mouse pointer in the iPad operating system last March. Developers are now competing to support this feature in their iPad apps.
TechCrunch said earlier this week that Microsoft was working hard to support the index for the iPad version of the Office application, and said: "iPad Office is expected to support the index in the fall.
It should be noted that Microsoft quickly acquired the iPad (PBX) functionality last year and the company released a unified office app for iOS earlier this year. The new office app combines Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other portable office functions into one smaller app.
Microsoft also plans to keep individual Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications on iOS, and can support the cursor in the main Office application and in standalone applications.
