Microsoft has launched an app to control children's play time |
Microsoft has launched a new Xbox Family Settings platform app that gives parents and guardians a new way to manage children's play time on the platform.
The American software giant explained that the app, currently available beta for Android and iOS, allows parents to define a time limit that determines the amount of time children spend on Xbox One, and is measured to a lesser degree. Output on a computer.
Using the app, parents can create a child account, set the maximum allowed time per day, filter content based on the child's age, and view daily and weekly activity reports on how the child spent at play time.
You can also set up people the child can communicate with and only call friends. When it comes to Minecraft games, Microsoft offers parents the ability to allow and disallow online games with friends. Similar features may be added to other games in the future.
Although many of these controls are not new features, the app is a more convenient way to manage reading time than logging in to the Microsoft web portal. By installing applications on mobile phones, parents can also respond directly to children's toys requests. Once the child requests an extension of the screen time, he will receive a notification. In the future, Microsoft plans to allow parents to accept or reject a child's request to a friend.
The Xbox Family Settings app appears to be separate from the Microsoft Family Safety beta earlier this month. Although Xbox Family Settings app gives parents precise control of playing time on Xbox and Windows 10 platforms, Family Security app is more complete as users know the location of family members and also includes screen display time on Android phones. The new app is not provided.
