Google launches a tool that uses augmented reality to maintain social separation

Google has launched a new tool that uses augmented reality technology to help users maintain the principle of social isolation, which has become a necessary condition to limit the spread of emerging aura viruses (COVID-19).

Android phone users with the latest version of Chrome can use the SODAR tool at goo.gle/sodar. The tool does not need to download applications as long as the licensed QR code is supplied with the camera. Activate the graphic that shows a radius of 2 meters on the phone.

It should be noted that the tool uses a technology called WebXR, which enables the use of augmented reality technology across Internet browsers.
