| YouTube announces free global film festival, starting May 29 |
Due to the spread of Korona, YouTube announces the creation of a world cinema festival called We Are One. The free digital film festival starts on May 29 and runs until June 7.
The world's 20 most famous film festivals include YouTube Film Festival content: Berlin International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Jerusalem Film Festival and YouTube Digital Film Festival broadcast the YouTube Festival Venice Film Fiction and short films, documentaries, comedies, music and speeches, and the full schedule of events will be posted on the Film Festival website shortly.
"One of the most unique and inspiring aspects of the world at home is our ability to meet and experience an event and we are one of them. It is the World Film Festival," said Robert Kinkel, YouTube's commercial director.
Proceeds from the Global Film Festival go to the WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
