With Netflix, parents can remove less child friendly content |
Netflix has launched a number of new tools that parents can use to filter what their children see when they use the service, including the ability to completely remove offers.
The company has expanded parental control options for the Department of Public Affairs and the Netflix children's portal. One of these options is that a series or TV movie that a child is watching can be deleted from the account. Additionally, not all content considered inappropriate for children is shown.
Other updates to parental controls include adding a PIN to protect personal files, displaying your child's viewing history, and if parents want to limit the amount of time they spend on the screen, turn off automatic TV programs in children's profiles.

"Choice and control have always been important to our members, especially parents," Netflix Children's Product Manager (Michelle Parsons) said in an article. "We hope these additional controls will help parents with their families. Make the right choice," she added.
Netflix is one of the largest entertainment providers for children. As Melissa Cup, Netflix's cartoon director for the New York Times said in 2019, nearly 60% of Netflix subscribers see% family and child content. The company also invested in developing other baby products and got approval for kids content from most popular service providers like Nickelodeon.
As of today, all new controls are available and can be found in "Control Settings" for desktop and mobile versions of Netflix.
