The portable VuPoint Magic Scanner can scan documents, photos, newspapers and almost any smooth surface and save them to a microSD card. Thanks to the scanning area of 8.27 x 98 inches (up to 35 inches at 900 dpi), the scanner can even save documents or images in the permitted size or characters at the highest resolution. Bring the portable scanner to the library and check what you need later without wasting paper or money. When returning, just use the provided USB cable to connect the scanner to the computer and transfer the scan results. When scanning text documents, you can convert any printed document into editable text using the built-in OCR software (Windows only; not compatible with Mac OS). The scanner is powered by two AA batteries, so no charger is required. With standard AA batteries, the scanner can perform up to 180 color scans or 200 monochrome scans. The LCD screen displays the device status and other important information. The scanner weighs only 6.9 ounces (including the battery) and only 10 x 1.2 x 1.0 inches. This is a great way to store documents and photos anywhere.
