Report: Rise in phone shipments in China heralds a boom in the market

According to the government, released on Tuesday, smartphone shipments from Chinese factories to suppliers increased by 17% in April compared to the same month last year.

These numbers indicate that smartphone manufacturers like Apple and Huawei are recovering on site as quickly as possible. With the emergence of the emerging coronavirus (COVID-19), the Chinese consumer market can normalize again.

According to the state-funded China Research Center, mobile phone manufacturers shipped 40.8 million mobile phones in April 2020, up from 34.8 million in April 2019.

The company hasn't released the percentage of Android devices shipped in many years. This is a key indicator that gives you a deep understanding of how many smartphones Apple sells to China every month.

Private research firms such as Canalys, IDC and Counterpoint Research, which track smartphones, said shipments of Apple devices to China declined individually in the first quarter.

Competition Huawei maintained relatively stable deliveries during the quarter, while Chinese Android phone companies such as (Oppo), (Vivo) and (Xiaomi) Xiaomi were hit by a coronavirus, according to the research team, deliveries fell twice.
