How to fix slow wifi on android phones |
No matter what you do, an Android phone can sometimes not receive a usable Wi-Fi signal because the problem is not limited to some phones because it affects all devices.
There are many factors that affect the Wi-Fi signal strength on your Android phone, and there are things you can do if you can't keep Wi-Fi connected at home.
If your phone's signal is weak or completely not connected to the network, use an application such as NetX Network Tools to measure the network connection strength so that the application tells you when other signals interfere with your network. WiFi at home, and the best part is that it can be used for free.
Wi-Fi signals are usually broadcast in a narrow set of frequency bands, and other devices (including Bluetooth speakers and microwaves) emit radio waves on the same frequency, so tools such as NetX are useful when trying to measure signal quality.
All modern routers have a dual-band connection, i.e. the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, and the 2.4 GHz frequency is generally saturated. For more information, see the WLAN topic at home and the difference between 5GHz and 2.4GHz.
Forget wifi and reconnect.
If resolving the malfunction did not solve the problem, try to forget the network and restart it, go to the phone settings and select forgot network information, as this will delete the stored credentials and reconnect to the network that the problem has been solved.
Restart the router.
We know you've heard it over and over again, but it usually requires a temporary fix and router memory may require it, or it might take a lot of processor cycles because restarting will get things back to normal again.
Ideally, you should turn off the router, wait 15 to 20 seconds, then restart. Depending on the type of router, it may take a few minutes for the Wi-Fi to appear on your phone.
Reset network settings.
If the router reset does not work properly, you will need to reset the phone network settings, which will delete all saved Wi-Fi networks, mobile data settings and paired Bluetooth devices.
In other words, you need to restart the network connection, but you don't have to delete data from your phone. Simply enter your phone settings, go to the “Reset” menu and select “Reset” Network Settings and press (“Reset”) to reset all the network settings.
