TCL reveals a foldable phone 3 times and another with a retractable screen |
TCL officially announced two new models today (Thursday), the first is a triple foldable cell phone and the other is a drop-down cell phone.
Both models are based on fully flexible screens developed by the Chinese company TCL-CSOT. The flexible display uses AMOLED technology, 10 inches wide, can fold up to 6.65 inches, and has a 20.9: 9 aspect ratio and 3K resolution.
TCL has developed two different types of connections: the first is called DragonHinge, the other is ButterflyHinge, the first can be folded like the Samsung Galaxy Fold phone, and the other can be folded like the phone (Huawei X partner).
Like other models, it features a unique design that looks like any other smartphone at first sight, but its screen is wrapped in the natural state of the phone's body and can be pulled aside to turn the phone into something like a tablet. This model uses a foldable AMOLED screen, similar to the TV developed by LG Korea. Under normal circumstances, the screen size is 6.75 inches, which is 7.8 inches behind the clouds.
TCL says: Just press the button to remove the screen automatically. However, the model you provide does not support this feature yet because the user has to manually pull the screen.
Since the Chinese company only revealed a prototype, TCL did not provide a price or registration date.
