Samsung is developing a 150MP image sensor |
According to a new report, Samsung plans to launch a new high-resolution 150-megapixel image sensor to maintain its leadership position and provide the sensors in the smartphone market with unparalleled accuracy.
Although Samsung is the only company that is currently developing image sensors with a resolution of more than 100 megapixels, a report published by gizchina.com shows that Samsung plans to provide HD sensors later this year.
The website says the sensor will be 1 inch larger, similar to the Sony Sony RX100 Professional camera sensor. It is stronger than the previous ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor with 108 MP.
Samsung 150 megapixel sensor will use technology with nano pixel (9 in 1). This means that the 16-megapixel lens is bigger than the newer and stronger Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, and the latter can produce 12-megapixel lenses.
Xiaomi, which has worked with Samsung to develop a 108-megapixel sensor, is expected to launch its first mobile phone with a 1.5-megapixel camera and is expected to appear in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Oppo and Vivo are expected to join Xiaomi in 2021, and Samsung will of course launch one of its flagship phones with this precision. It is expected to be used on Galaxy S series phones next year.
