Google Translate officially supports the feature of instant voice copying in eight languages |
After the first announcement in January, Google announced today (Tuesday) the launch of a real-time voice-over feature for Google Translate.
With the new features of the Android translation app, users can record audio in one language, then translate it and send it to another language. Initially it supports 8 languages: English, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Thai.
Google previously mentioned that this feature may require an internet connection first. This means that it differs from the current AI-based translation functionality and the way the device itself handles it. According to the company, the reason why multi-lingual real-time transcription is more complicated when writing a single sentence and then converting it to a different language is the reason for translating from one language to another at the same time.
The company said that the feature does not support audio files, at least initially, which means that audio is received from the device's microphone at the same time. According to Google, users can copy audio files by playing them for recording and subtitles from the microphone.
Google says: Instant Speech evaluates the entire sentence with the language, so it adds punctuation, corrects word options based on the context of the sentence, and tries to correct things like stress. Stress and tension.
You can try the instant transcription feature by downloading the latest version of the translation app, then clicking the start icon on the home page, selecting the source language, then selecting the language. Destination in the list above.
In addition, the latest version of the Android translation app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
