Google Duo supports adding up to 12 people to a video call |
Google has released a new update to the dual video messaging app that increases the number of people who can join a conference call from 8 to 12.
This new feature is a response to the current situation where people around the world are forced to stay at home to limit the spread of COVID-19 so that they can communicate through family, friends and colleagues online.
Unlike other popular instant messaging apps like WhatsApp from Facebook, the number of people you can meet during a video call. For comparison, WhatsApp allows up to 4 people.
Google Senior Product Manager (Sanaz Ahri) has posted a tweet on Twitter announcing the increase in conference calls, saying: "We are very grateful (you) for helping users meet their loved ones around the world. Know the whole group. Communication is very important right now and it has Today's conference call increased from 8 to 12 participants.
