Duolingo launches an application to teach children to read |
Duolingo, the owner of one of the world's most popular language learning apps, has launched a new app that allows young children to learn to read.
Duolingo ABC is a new app called "English Reading" that uses short courses to teach letters, sounds and visual words and is suitable for children aged 3 to 6 years.
The company says: Duolingo ABC offers 300 lessons where children have to do things like spell words in a series of letters and move their fingers to uppercase and lowercase letters, move their fingers over the name and click to write a letter start with the element and then click on the word to refer to it in a sentence.
It should be noted that the new application is only available on iOS and in English-speaking countries (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America).
The company announced plans to launch a special version of the Google Android operating system at a later time. Note that the app is free and does not contain ads or internal purchases.
