Corona's largest video game event has been canceled |
Expo Entertainment Expo, slated for June next year, has announced its withdrawal from fear of the new Corona virus.
"We are very disappointed that we cannot organize this event for our fans and supporters," said the entertainment program association, which is organizing the event, also known as E3. "We know that it is the right decision based on today's information," she added.
The group announced that it will exchange information on payment of the total amount paid to the exhibitors and participants. "We are also discussing with our members if they would like to host an online event to show ads and industry news for June 2020. We will be posting updates on E3expo .com."
E3 is the biggest event in the video game industry and acts as a point of contact for new hardware and software release. At the 2020 conference, more information about Microsoft and Sony's next-generation gaming systems should be announced.
It should be noted that the cancellation of the E3 conference adds a number of important technical and non-technical events that were canceled due to the appearance of the Corona virus. This includes the Mobile World Congress MWC 2020, the GDC 2020 Game Developers Conference and developer conferences for companies like Facebook and Google.
