What is the secret of Samsung's strange alerts to users around the world? |
Many Samsung Galaxy users around the world have reported receiving strange notifications on their devices. These are special notifications that are sent when the Find My Phone app is stolen or lost.
It is strange that the message, which reached many Korean commercial phone owners, contained only the number 1 and another number below it. Hours after the accident, Samsung said that the message was inadvertently sent during internal testing. Users report that clicking on "Notifications" will only disable notifications.
With Samsung's Find My Phone app, the owner of the phone or tablet can remotely locate or block the device and back up data stored on the device in their Samsung cloud service. The service also allows to delete stored data and prevent access to Samsung Pay.
It is worth noting that Samsung is not the first company to send weird notifications to its users. Last year OnePlus accidentally sent a notification with strange Chinese characters to find out later that it was due to the internal software update test.
