With Tik Tok, parents can decide when their child should follow up on the order |
Short Video Sharing Service (TikTok) announced today (Wednesday) a new feature that parents can use to determine how young children can spend time following the app to help children reduce excessive use of technology.
(Cormac Kennan) - “With a new family security paradigm, parents can control the time their children spend on Tik Tok,” said Tik Tok, director of trust and security for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The goal is to encourage people to build "healthy relationships with Internet applications and services".
This new feature is one of the new initiatives that Tik Tok wants to add to the app. The company has partnered with some of the most wanted characters to produce videos that remind people to stay away from Tik Tok. These videos are often shown after people watch multiple videos in a row.
(Tik Tok) said, "We will continue to provide a means to protect society and focus users on important things, including creating and sharing content and benefiting from the creativity of the Tik Tok community."
The company states that family safety mode users can also restrict people who can send messages directly to their children, or disable the option to completely block messages. Parents can limit the types of content children can see when they use the app.
Note that (Home Safety Mode) is currently available in the UK and will be rolled out to other markets in the coming weeks.
