The United States is looking for partners to find alternatives to Huawei |
A senior White House official said on Friday that the United States is seeking to partner with the telecom industry to offer an alternative to Chinese Huawei.
"This partnership is very different from buying shares with taxpayer money," the White House special representative for international communications policy told a security conference in Munich. Robert Blair).
American Attorney General (William Barr) has previously suggested that the United States wants to control its main competitors in Huawei, but the White House later rejected the proposal.
Blair also said that the UK should have a "careful review" of the decision to use Huawei devices that Washington officials have described as a potential security threat, and that the company has opposed this.
