Samsung officially announces Galaxy Z Flip |
Samsung has announced the announcement before the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, USA, and the company's new Galaxy S20 phone, Galaxy Z Flip, is the company's second foldable phone.
Although the South Korean company showed a video of the phone the day before at the US Academy Awards, the phone details were released in detail today.
"As the world's first foldable glass smartphone, the revolutionary shape of the Galaxy Z Flip opens up a whole new world of mobile experiences and gives you more options to express yourself," said Samsung, the world's largest smartphone manufacturer.
With regard to technical data, the size when folded is small and the phone is square, 87.4 mm long and 73.6 mm wide. The thickness of the joint is 17.3 mm and the edge of the screen thickness is less than 15.4 mm. There's a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED external screen with a resolution of 300 x 112 pixels to display notifications.
There are also two external cameras on the back of the phone, a 12-megapixel camera for a 123-degree wide-angle camera with a 1: 2.2 aperture and the same resolution camera, but with 1: 1 apertures.

When the phone was turned on, the phone was 167.3 mm long, thickness dropped to 7.2 mm in layers and to a 6.9 mm (6.7 inch) screen on the edge of the phone. The resolution was 2636 x 1080 pixels and a very thin glass layer was applied. For protection, the company calls it Samsung Ultra Thin Glass. Like the Galaxy S20, the front camera appears on the screen, which features a 10 MP and a 1: 2.4 lens. The screen also features Eye Care Display technology, which reduces eye strain without affecting color.

Wired and wireless. Unlike the Galaxy S20, the fingerprint sensor is on the side of the phone and not under the screen.
Samsung said: (Galaxy Z Flip) phones will be available in select markets, including the United States and South Korea, with a limited number of purple and black from February 14. It will then be launched with gold in some countries.
