Intel announces the new generation of its processors

Intel announced new processors on Monday, including second-generation data center (Xeon) processors and 10nm chips for base stations in the 5G network.

Demand from cloud companies increased server chip sales, leading to strong financial results from Intel and AMD competitors. The Intel Xeon processor dominates the server chip market, but AMD has grown since it started working with rival EPYC processors three years ago.

Intel said: The new Xeon chipset will work better than the previous generation, and the P5900 chip with 10nm technology will help make it the leading chip supplier for 2021, a year later the base stations will be more than expected early.

Last month, Intel announced that it would launch nine 10nm products in 2020 and new 7nm products next year. Competing company Intel-AMD launched several 7nm chips.

It should be noted that Intel has experienced delays in the 10-nanometer chip technology and lost the leadership of its competitors in the race to connect the 5G networks, autonomous cars and artificial intelligence.

The company plans to launch new chips at the MWC 2020 conference in Barcelona, Spain. However, the meeting was canceled due to growing concerns about the crown epidemic.
